September 2026
In early September 2026, our managing directors Christian Hochegger and Markus Schroll together with Melanie Dietach, Fabian Jankowski and Johannes Wader, visited our long-standing suppliers Niterra and FKK in Japan.
Our product range includes, amongst other things, ceramic glow plugs from FKK Corporation and lambda sensors from Niterra (formerly NGK | NTK). The visits centred on gaining insights into the production facilities and technical exchanges with the teams on site.
Insights into manufacturing at Niterra
The H&S Sensortechnik delegation visited two Niterra sites: Nakatsugawa and Komaki. In Nakatsugawa, the team gained an insight into the manufacture of ceramic components and the associated production stages. At the Komaki plant, they were able to learn about the assembly of oxygen sensors and spark plugs.
The visits provided an opportunity to experience production processes first-hand and to discuss questions with Niterra’s representatives. Discussions regarding the collaboration between Niterra and H&S were also an important part of the visit.
Production facility of FKK Corporation
At FKK, our team gained fascinating insights into the manufacture of ceramic glow plugs, as well as the expertise and traditions embedded in this field. FKK also presented new business areas and developments.
The direct insight into production and the on-site discussions helped our team to gain a better understanding of the respective processes and business areas. At FKK, too, open dialogue and collaboration were at the heart of the visit.
We would like to thank the teams at Niterra and FKK Corporation for the insights into their production facilities, the fruitful discussions and the organisation of the visits. The personal contact on site provides a valuable foundation for our continued collaboration.
